Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a class?

Please email info@elizabethzaia.com.au to book a Ballet, Pilates or Corporate class.

Is the instructor qualified?

Miss Lizzy is a qualified Pilates instructor as well as a certified Ballet teacher under the Royal Academy of Dance. Our Baby Ballet program incorporates elements of the Royal Academy of Dance, Pre-Primary syllabus and is trained under a teacher who understands the importance of age appropriate movement, safe dance practices and cognitive development.

When is the Term fee’s due for Ballet?

Term fee must be paid by the end of the first week of the term. Please note that failure to pay your child’s term fees by the end of week 2 of each term will incur a $20 late fee that will be applied to all overdue invoices.

Once paid, term fees are non-refundable.

No refunds or discounts will be offered for missed lessons. This also applies when the studio is closed on Public Holidays.

Please note fee prices are subject to change each year.

What if I want to discontinue my child's Ballet class?

Parents who decide to discontinue their child’s classes must give two weeks’ notice and fee must still be paid for in full.

Do I need a uniform for my child's Ballet class?

We do not require a uniform for the students in our Baby Ballet Program at this moment. Your child is welcome to wear any dance outfit they may have. We only ask no novelty dress up outfits (princess dresses etc), stick out tutus, crowns/tiara’s, necklaces, and that dresses/skirts do not cover their knees.

All dancers are required to wear their hair up or in a bun and off their face.

All dancers from Baby Ballet are required to wear ballet shoes fitted by a dance wear professional (see suggestions for preferred stockists).

Suggested stockists:

Bloch, Charlestown Square

Danse Boutique, Cardiff

Can I watch my child's classes?

Parents are welcome to watch their child’s very first lesson. Following the trial class, if your child is happy, we respectfully request that parents don’t watch your child’s class from inside the studio as this can be distracting for our little dancers.

We understand that some children are not quite ready to leave their parents/guardian just yet and often need extra support with transitioning to parents being outside of the room. We will work with you to meet your child where they are at.

At the end of each term we hold a ‘Watching Week’ where parents are invited to come watch their child’s class.

Do you offer a trial class for Baby Ballet?

Yes, we do! Your child is welcome to trial their first lesson and there is no charge for this if they do not wish to enrol. Should you wish to join us in our program after your child’s first class, this class is then reflected in your fees.

Are there photos taken of my child?

Instructor, Miss Lizzy, holds a current Working with Children Check. Photographs or videos are occasionally taken of all students. If you do not wish for your child’s photograph to appear on our social media sites please email us and let us know.

Paying Fees

We do not offer refunds for missed classes due to holidays or illness. Classes are paid by the term and not on a weekly basis. If you start the term late, you will only need to pay the remaining amount of classes left to the term
